7 of Forest Under Water a Strange and Wonderful


1. LAKE KAINDY, KAZAKHSTAN
The lake is located in the depths of the forest with an altitude of 2000m above sea level. Avalanches formed from limestone and soil deposition. This formed a natural dam lake and a beautiful canyon.


This lake has a length of 400m long with a depth of 30m. Beautiful views presented here. The remains of trees that are not submerged, looming like the nails creations of nature. While parts submerged in water, it seems like a mystery forest hundreds of years old.







2. LAKE BEZID, ROMANIA
Located in the Transylvania region of Romania, its uniqueness is not only beautiful scenery but also a mystical side that is presented here. Bezid formed after the whole village is flooded, leaving the houses in the bottom of the lake and the only local church tower and the trees are still seen towering over the lake.


The branches and twigs of old trees to be seen towering above the water surface such as the hands that carry mystical message. Reservoir is also hiding something under the water, the ruins of the village is submerged so that further adds to the atmosphere of mystery a beautiful and well presented there.




3. LAKE Periyar, INDIA
Periyar lake is actually an artificial reservoir, to a flood area that was created in 1895 by the construction of Mullaperiyar Dam. Tree stumps are the remains of an old forest.


Around the lake contours of wooded hills provide a permanent source of water for local wildlife, and is said to be one of the few places where dams have either to be made in the ecosystem.



4. UDAWALAWE reservoirs, SRI LANKA
Reservoir presents a view of the remains of thousands of forest trees that died due to the floods that fill this artificial dam. Lots of animals are losing their habitat here, But lately, this reservoir began again visited by various groups and types of animals that exist in the vicinity of this reservoir.


Often seen a bunch of elephants who come here on purpose, in addition to drink there is also a play around with a bath here. Not to forget also started many new types of fish are caught meghuni this dam.




5. Lake Volta, GHANA
Lakes formed by hydroelectric Akosomba Dam, which provides power supply for many countries. Completed in 1965, this project forced some 78,000 people to do the relocation of new settlements, along with 200,000 of their pets, while about 120 buildings and dwellings were also destroyed countless.


Lake Volta is a promising resource potential, the Government of Ghana sought to harvest 14 million cubic meters of wood are submerged, though not without controversy. Tropical hardwoods that may be valuable, preserved by the lack of oxygen in the water. But some say logging in the water could be a threat to fishermen and disrupt the ecological balance of lakes.





6. CADDO LAKE, TEXAS
Mysterious lake it looks like the Swamps of horror films. This lake is not completely submerged so that the plant here is not so dead and so alive. But behind these horrors there an extraordinary beauty.
Conifers native southeastern United States, Cypress trees grow in moist habitats, and some individuals can live for more than 1,000 years.


Baldcypresses, growing in marshy habitats, has a peculiar growth called cypress knees, woody projections on the water that is part of the root system and provide structural support and stabilization - at sites prone to flooding like this.




7. Kampong PLUK, CAMBODIA
Cambodia can be found in other forest-floating, consisting of trees that grew out of a lake, their roots kust hidden under water.


Trees that grow in Kampong Pluk are mangrove forests and other habitats. They are home to various wildlife, including crab-eating monkeys, and humans who harvest shrimp and live in tree houses / floating home.
